Ah, finally done with the elemental plasmids. Things are going to get a lot more interesting...
Hypnotize can be used for three main purposes: first, it can be used to clear a room if there are two or more enemies in it. Second, it can be used to summon an ally in battle. Finally, it serves as a means of taking away some heat in heavy battles. The following upgrades are meant to follow that.
Changes: If the person closest to the hypnotized enemy is the player, then the player will be attacked by that enemy. If idle, hypnotized enemies will actively seek out other enemies.
Hypnotize 2 Upgrade #1: Befriend. Charging the plasmid allows the player to turn any non-giant Splicer into a temporary ally who will follow the player around and fight alongside them until the effects wear off. Only one Splicer can be befriended at a time. Unlocks Hypnotize 3 upgrades #1 and #2.
Hypnotize 2 Upgrade #2: Enrage. Hypnotized enemies have increased health, speed and damage output. They will also increase in size and display red boils across their skin (or, in the case of Big Daddies, their suits). Unlocks Hypnotize 3 upgrades #3 and #4.
Hypnotize 3 Upgrade #1: Bodyguard. Charging the plasmid now allows the player to befriend giant Splicers and Big Daddies. Only one enemy of any size can be befriended at a time.
Hypnotize 3 Upgrade #2: Private Army. Player can befriend up to three non-giant Splicers at a time, who will fight alongside the player until they die.
Hypnotize 3 Upgrade #3: Public Enemy. Charging the plasmid and firing it at an enemy will cause all other nearby enemies to attack the target.
Hypnotize 3 Upgrade #4: Revenge. Hypnotized enemies will explode upon death, dealing a very high amount of damage at a large radius.
