Death from Above and Eagle Strike mutually exclusive?

The first time I played through the game I got Death from Above, the second time I had already bought the Season Pass (and therefore got Eagle Strike in the Blue Ribbon) I wasn't able to acquire it again, even with the gear glitch. Can somebody confirm or deny that Death from Above is non-Season Pass exclusive? --ShardofTruth (talk) 08:28, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

On my 360 edition, with S.P. and the 4.99 "finest" enhancement, there is no mutual exclusivity...just redundancy with many of the gears... Not sure if there are variables here according to different systems, M. Live-purchased editions, etc. however... <--Complete error on my part. I apparently have ADD and confused the gear you mentioned with another similar one - sorry. Exclusive they are, as both are "boots", yes? Sry. The S.P. and I.R. or "Columbia's Finest" special items are detailed on this Wiki...

I don't understand Gear.

I mean, Booker doesn't even wear a hat the whole game... Mr Bio Shock 15px-Physical_Tonic.png 21:02, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

They're just equipable items. He has a hat slot just for the hell of it, it's not like Booker's clothes change, or that clothes can actually make a guy create fire from dropping from a rail. It's merely another way to adapt your combat approach. Hawkeye2701 (talk) 00:02, May 13, 2013 (UTC)

Gloves

I think they should've made gloves as part of the gear. ZanyDragon (talk) 18:26, September 21, 2013 (UTC)

Burial at Sea Gears

Would someone kindly upload the gear for Burial at Sea?

Any sign of any opponent NPCs wearing any such 'Gear' ??

Probably a good thing.

It is moreso probably a good thing that we cannot see what Booker looks like wearing this various "Gear", it likely would look REALLY dorky, as much of the SteamPunk stuff does.  Besides them not having to make the models for rendering them (gots my Magic Aiming Hat - eye reticule, Pants of Wonderous Running - giant springs and levers, Vest of Tickle Protection, Sandals of Finding Loose Change).

beta venders?

i noted two of what apere to gear venders,i dont know if they were beta venders or just props also thers a tear that opens up to a broken medi vender like in the first two bioshock if that one was a beta vender it was likely cut when doller bills started to sell heath

Gear not "refreshing" after reload

I recently made an edit about an autosave happening after lockpicking a door containing gear causing that item to always remain that item even after reloading the save, but now as I've progressed further in this playthrough I'm noticing that seemingly all of the gear I'm coming across is behaving the same way, i.e. it's not changing when I load a save and pick it up. I had previous reloaded a save about five times to pick up a piece of gear in the beginning of the Hall of Heroes, and it would change every time, but after that everything is staying the same.

I removed that edit, since it seems like something else is going on that isn't relevant to lockpicking that particular door or picking up that particular piece of gear, and such. But has anyone else run into that? It's... odd to try and word a question asking if anyone else's attempts to take advantage of a design pseudo-oversight is "bugged", but that's the jist of it.   Ramikadyc (talk) 20:45, June 1, 2014 (UTC)

Question

Should we really let people know they can cheat at the bottom? It sort of takes the meaning away from the game in a sense... I don't know...

It's their choice to play the game as it was intended or glitch through it, like the Little Sisters bug in BioShock. Also they can get this info from other websites so it doesn't change anything. Pauolo (talk) 22:22, June 18, 2015 (UTC)

I agree. I know. People will find out what they want if intelligent or resourceful. I guess I was having a moment of "milksop" idealistic romanticism...who knows... I hate milksop types myself... That's a neat word to revive, anyway, I randomly think...

I attained the "Scavenger Hunt" challenge - the difficulty of this "achievement" is reported wildly variably, from super-easy to heroic-level, from gauging "fan response" (total chaos) - I went through the game without using the glitch - took me several, mentally-brutal, yet "fun" hours, sans guides et al. - and exploiting the game there for a brand new player of this game, I non-belligerently opine without authoritative bombast, kind of cheapens things overall, for the new player (aesthetically, experientially) and others, in other dimensions, *in my humble opinion*...

But you are right, in the end; whether publicly put on here or not, it's irrelevant; I am just being a naïve fool; *not* trying to be disputatious...

Also: should I continue to source the real-world historic stuff involved in Bioshock (especially B.I.) as I have very hesitantly begun to do, or just leave things simple and plain, as is...? Not condescending. E.g. I brought up a little background to the imprinting idea (awkwardly) and am not sure if I should just let things be instead with all these articles... I shall follow your advisement, you seem equitably minded and a good regulator hereabouts... Not being sarcastic. I wouldn't mind sprucing things up informational-wise if harmonious to communal wishes... I think Bioshock (at least Bioshock Infinite) is a piece of art worth it, neglected masterpiece, unappreciated owing to popular stupidity honestly...

I somehow got through one full playthrough without getting the "blood to salt" gear

For my first ever game of bioshock infinite, I have read up on a lot of things in this wiki.

And I have noticed that the most recommended gear was the Blood to Salt gear.

But for some unfathomable reason, I played through the whole game, trying to unlock as many hidden areas as possible, but still unable to get this legendary gear.

Ive finished my first playthrough on Normal Difficulty, without much of a challenge, But I really hope my new playthrough on Hard difficulty would fare better, since im probably gonna need every bit of salt to survive these damn tanky bullet sponges that my enemies have been buffed to.
