I heard that Fontaine was supposed to be inspired by something in the world of Rapture to create the 'Atlas' character. Anyone know what that was?

Not sure, but I do know his child and wife's name were based on a play in Fort Frolic.

Yesuh, Kevin Levine had stated this in an interview, but never really specified what exactly it was. I'm assuming it would be the statues of the Greek Titan "Atlas" that are littered about the city. On a kinda side note, there are lots of relations between the Mythology and the events of the game. The head Greek God Zeus [Ryan] had a son named Hercules [Jack] who was betrayed by the Titan Atlas.

Probably nothing but a bomb, during the time when your a Big Daddy escort Fontaine mocks you and laughs about getting you all riled up to kill by staging the fake tragedy. The names of Atlas' supposed family, Moria and Patrick, are taken by Fontaine from a play made by the character Cohen as can be seen from a poster in Fort Frolic. Its a couple dancing in formal attire and reads something like "Moria and Patrick a story of love after death."--76.17.139.78 08:19, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hair Color

I had always assumed for a long time that Atlas had brown hair...the shading of his hair on his Rapture passport as well as the "Who is Atlas?" posters, like the one seen on this page. However when looking at the Bioshock theme for Playstation 3, it would appear as though Atlas is depicted with blonde hair instead. I have edited the info on this page to reflect that. Below is a link to a picture of the Bioshock theme for Playstation 3. I believe the last bubble all the way to the right is that of Atlas.
