Ryan Amusements

Ryan Amusements is a level in BioShock 2. According to the 100th Issue of XBOX Magazine, it takes place roughly two hours into the game. It is an underwater theme park, designed by Carlson Fiddle, and was built to teach Andrew Ryan's propaganda to the young chidren of Rapture. The rides are designed to make the viewer hate and fear the surface world, featuring displays such as giant hands labeled "Government" blocking artists from their work and pushing over brilliant scientists. It is also in this level where the player will make contact with Augustus Sinclair, founder of Sinclair Solutions, who will ask them to perform a service for him.
There are three known areas in Ryan Amusements:
- Journey to the Surface: The main attraction in the theme park. This ride is presented as an imaginary ascension to the surface world, showing all the horrors awaiting anyone who would wish to leave Rapture. The journey is outlined by hellish neon flames, and to the sides of the ride the viewer can see various animatronic displays damning the surface world and its politics.
- The El Dorado Restaurant: A food center where visitors could have a meal while exploring the many attractions in the theme park.
- The House of the Future: Another ride in Ryan's amusements, and the player's main goal. Here they will find the Incinerate! Plasmid, which they will have to use to unfreeze a door in one of the passageways used by the Atlantic Express.
