BioShock Infinite Lockpick

A lockpick, as seen in BioShock Infinite.

A Lockpick is an item in BioShock Infinite that Elizabeth can use to open locked doors and safes. They are found in all kinds of places after Elizabeth has been freed.

Sometimes Elizabeth can use her hairpin to unlock small locks, but when the mechanism is more complex, she'll require a professional lockpick. These consist of small leather pouches with a pair of picks inside.

Lockpicks can either be found by themselves, in Lockpicking Kits, which contain two lockpicks, or in locksmith bags, which hold three. They can usually be found on the bodies of defeated Firemen and Crow later in the game. They can also be bought from some Dollar Bill vending machines. Booker DeWitt can only hold a maximum of thirty lockpicks at any time, despite the counter showing three digits.

Even without purchasing any at the Dollar Bill machines, there are more than enough lockpicks found around the levels to unlock all the locks.

Burial at Sea - Episode 1Edit

In the first episode of the BioShock Infinite downloadable content Burial at Sea, Elizabeth uses her lockpicking skills once she and Booker reach Fontaine's Department Store, after which, lockpicks can be found around the area. As with the main campaign, a maximum of thirty lockpicks can be held at one time.

Burial at Sea - Episode 2Edit

Main article: Burial at Sea - Episode 2

In the second episode of Burial at Sea, Elizabeth uses lockpicks to open locked doors and safes, as well as to disable turrets. Whenever she attempts to pick a lock, she enters a lockpicking minigame similar to those featured in the previous BioShock games. If she hits the right pin, she will acquire a Noisemaker Bolt. Lockpicks can be bought from Circus of Values vending machines for $18.
