Pictures needed: Render: The three editions featured in-game (replacement for the one in the article); The unused edition (replacement for the one in the article); The mailbag; "ANARCHIST LOOSE IN OUR FAIR CITY!" banner (seen by a Wilson Bros. & Company Bottling Works kiosk in the Monument Island Gondola Station).
Columbia Chronicles-01

One edition of the newspaper.

Columbia Chronicles is a Founders-driven newspaper in the city of Columbia. The newspaper covered recent noteworthy events in Columbia, such as Vox Populi activity in the city and work efficiency at Finkton, as well as news from the rest of the world, such as the sinking of the RMS Titanic.

Copies of Columbia Chronicles can be found in stacks or scattered across the floors in most levels of BioShock Infinite. A total of three different editions are encountered, two with proper headlines and one without. Columbia Chronicles mailbags can also be found in various places.

Headlines[]

  • "ANARCHISTS LOOSE IN OUR FAIR CITY! - 'Death to good for 'em' says Warden Watts"
  • "FACTORY EFFICIENCY UP 37%! - 'We can always do better' says Jeremiah Fink"

Behind the Scenes[]

Columbia Chronicles-02

The unused paper.

  • A third design for a Columbia Chronicles copy exists in the game files, but was left unused. The headline reads: "RIOTS IN THE STREETS! VOX POPULI TAKE OVER FINKTON!"
  • The lower half of every Columbia Chronicles copy with a proper headline are identical. The headlines read:
    • "Wireless Flashes Picked Up from the Steam-er Carpathia - PARTIAL LIST OF THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN RESCUED" (referring to the RMS Titanic disaster.)
    • "MANAGER CUT OFF BY FIRE: RESCUED - Paul A. Presley Is Found Unconscious After Battle With Flames"
    • "SOCIETY AGOG IN AGONY"
    • "Atty. Delmas Says: 'Glass Will Escape, Columbia Will Fight!' - Gale Geister"
    • "EARL IS A SCOUNDREL SAYS HIS FATHER-IN-LAW"
    • "Important Question No. 15"
  • The "MANAGER CUT OFF BY FIRE: RESCUED" article was also used for copies of the Minuteman Gazette.
    • The said article features a subhead reading: "Paul A. Presley Is found unconscious after battle with flames", which is a reference to asset modeler Paul Presley, who worked on BioShock Infinite.
