The Columbia Science Authority is the primary scientific research group in the city of Columbia, and was under the direction of Rosalind and Robert Lutece. Their laboratories can be seen in various locations: Monument Island, the Lutece Labs in Downtown Emporia, Comstock House, and the Imprinting Studies department at Finkton. They did work for both Jeremiah Fink and Zachary Hale Comstock. Their official symbol is a key with a lightning bolt, which is a reference to the famous "kite and key" experiment purportedly performed by Benjamin Franklin.
