Herschel Weiss was a worker and prisoner at Fontaine's and one of Rapture's denizens. In his audio diaries, he shows a great deal of animosity towards Andrew Ryan for promoting the production of Old Man Winter. He found out about the Plasmid's flaws when he discovered that an ice sculpture made for the gala at the Kashmir Restaurant was still standing after a month.[1] While trapped in Fontaine's, Herschel's anger towards Ryan only grew stronger, and he began working on ways to hack Rapture's security devices to use against him.[2]
