Maison Vosges is an upscale retail clothing store that operates out of High Street in Rapture.

History[]

BaS1 Maison Vosges6

Designer duds for deep sea denizens.

Like most shops on High Street, Maison Vosges catered to Rapture's upper class. While Rapture's social elite might choose to flaunt their wealth and success with a superb collection of records, a piece of fine art, or a box of quality cigar, nothing quite compared to an impeccable wardrobe. Maison Vosges sold everything from tailored three-piece suits, gorgeous gowns, hats, shoes, and more to all who could afford to pay. The apparel shop has two dressing rooms and offered personalized, luxury service to all its patrons.

Booker DeWitt and Elizabeth can stop by the clothes shop as they check out High Street. The Italian shopkeeper greets them as they enter, and two female patrons can be heard talking about a woman whose daughter has gone missing. The customers note the rash of recent disappearances among children. Dr. Yi Suchong's audio diary Observation #33 can be found here in one of the dressing rooms.

Behind the Scenes[]

  • The name of the shop is a reference to the Vosges, a department in the north-east of France where the textile industry was still quite prosperous in the 1950s.
  • One of the designer dresses on the mannequins is the primary outfit worn by the Lady Smith model Splicer in BioShock.
