Combat Tonics

Combat Tonics improve the player's offensive and defensive capabilities. The player can change his equipped tonics at a Gene Bank. Those found in the world of Rapture glow in their bottles like plasmids and other tonics, and combat tonics glow a pale green in color.

Effect: Prevents 15% of piercing and bludgeoning damage.
Location: First available for purchase from a Gatherer's Garden in the Medical Pavilion.

Location: Fifth gift for rescuing the Little Sisters.

Effect: Increases research damage bonuses by 30%.
Location: Found on a table in the Lower Workshops in Hephaestus.

Location: Found in the Mendel Family Library in Point Prometheus.

Effect: Reduces electric damage received by 75% and increases outgoing electric damage by 30%.
Location: First available in the projector room of Fort Frolic after completing Sander Cohen's masterpiece. Also for purchase from a Gatherer's Garden in Hephaestus and onwards.

Effect: Reduces electric damage received by 100% and increases outgoing electric damage by 60%.
Location: On a desk in Frank Fontaine's Mercury Suites apartment in Olympus Heights.

Effect: Reduces cold damage received by 15%. While the Wrench is equipped, it deals an extra ten points of cold damage and has a 10% chance of freezing anyone struck.
Location: Looted from the corpse of Martin Finnegan in the frozen passageway to Poseidon Plaza in Fort Frolic.

Effect: Reduces cold damage received by 30%. While the Wrench is equipped, it deals an extra twenty points of cold damage and has a 20% chance of freezing anyone struck.
Location: Found on the desk in the side office of Andrew Ryan's Trophy Room in Hephaestus. Available for purchase at a Gatherer's Garden in Olympus Heights and all subsequent levels.

Effect: Reduces heat damage received by 20%, increases heat damage inflicted by the user by 30% and causes burning enemies to take damage at a 30% higher rate.
Location: First available for purchase from a Gatherer's Garden in Arcadia (after patch 1.1 and DLC for PC and Xbox 360 versions).

Effect: Reduces heat damage received by 40%, increases heat damage inflicted by the user by 50% and causes burning enemies to take damage at a 50% higher rate.
Location: Available for purchase at a Gatherer's Garden in Point Prometheus (after patch 1.1 and DLC for PC and Xbox 360 versions).

Effect: Causes the user to emit an electric burst when struck by a melee attack. The burst does thirty points of electric damage and has a 15% chance of shocking the attacker.
Location: Found in the surgical ward of the Medical Pavilion.

Location: Gatherer's Garden in Arcadia and onwards or can be obtained by researching Leadhead Splicers to level 4.

Effect: Increases Wrench damage by 350%.
Location: Found in the Kure-All office of the Medical Pavilion.

Location: Complete the second level of research for Bouncers.

Effect: Increases Wrench damage by 150% against unaware or shocked opponents and quietens the user's footsteps.
Location: On the ledge near the Gene Bank and Gatherer's Garden on the way back to Fontaine's Fisheries in Neptune's Bounty.
