Chemicals are the ammunition used the by the Chemical Thrower. There are three different types of chemicals.

Napalm

The Chemical Thrower's napalm does moderate fire damage, ignites enemies and objects on contact, and is effective against all targets. Napalm can be bought and found in abundance, furthering increasing its versatile use. Damage bonuses are applied from the Damage Research and Human Inferno tonics.

Liquid Nitrogen

The Chemical Thrower's liquid nitrogen does no damage, but freezes enemies and objects on contact, and is effective against all targets. The more ammo used on an object or enemy, the longer it will be frozen solid. Liquid nitrogen can be bought and found in limited quantities.

Electric Gel

The Chemical Thrower's electric gel does moderate electric damage, stuns enemies on contact, and is effective against all targets. It inflicts increased damage against Security Cameras, Security Bots, and Turrets. Electric gel can be found and manufactured in limited quantities. Damage bonuses are applied from the Damage Research and Electric Flesh tonics.

Strategies

Electric gel can damage and stun enemies. Unlike most other ammo such as bullets, once you hit a foe with electric gel, the enemy is shocked and stunned until you stop firing (liquid nitrogen will also stop foes, but does not, itself, kill them as electric gel does).

A full tank of electric gel is enough to bring down a Big Daddy. You just stand there with your finger on the trigger of the Chemical Thrower watching the Big Daddy's health indicator go down. Even without enough gel to kill him, a small amount is enough to take a chunk out of his health while you switch to another weapon for finishing him off.
