Diary 2

Otis works up at the lodge part-time. He took this box from one of their secret ceremonies, and I know for sure there is something dear inside.
― Byron Cotswold[src]

Byron Cotswold is a citizen in Columbia and an affiliate of The Founders.

History

Byron was acquainted with a man named Otis, who worked at Fraternal Order of the Raven Headquarters. Byron learned that Otis had taken a Chest from one of the "secret ceremonies," believing it to contain something valuable. Otis did indeed steal the chest, but he didn't think to also take the key which unlocked it, causing the content of the chest to remain a mystery both to Byron and the fool-labeled Otis.[1]

Main article: BioShock Infinite

Though Byron Cotswold is not encountered in person during the events of BioShock Infinite, Booker DeWitt can find the chest he mentioned in what is presumed to be Otis' apartment; the Lansdowne Residence. The chest is located in a bedroom on the second floor, still locked, making the contents unknown for the player as well. However, Cotswold's Voxophone, found near by, hints at a location for the key: a lodge where secret ceremonies were held by the feathered brothers. Proceeding further through Comstock Center Rooftops, Booker enters the Fraternal Order of the Raven Headquarters and, after some combat, obtains the key from an altar. If the player chooses to return for the chest and unlock it, one will be rewarded with an Infusion, a Medical Kit, and a Salt phial.
