Plasmids are special serums made from processed ADAM that introduce modified stem cells into the body, allowing for genetic modification and mutation, giving the user what some might call "super powers". In BioShock 2 Multiplayer, Plasmids and weapons are wielded somewhat simultaneously in that the player holds the weapon with two hands, but can quickly cast a Plasmid without the tedious switching. Few Plasmids are readily available, and the rest are unlocked when the player advances through the ranks.

Aero Dash Edit

	Effect:	Allows the player to quickly dash forward and damage enemies
	Location:	Unlocked at rank 4

Electro Bolt Edit

	Effect:	Sends charged currents of electricity to stun enemies and electrify water
	Location:	Unlocked by default

Geyser Trap Edit

	Effect:	Places a water trap on the ground that throws enemies into the air
	Location:	Unlocked at rank 8

Houdini Edit

	Effect:	Allows the player to temporarily turn invisible
	Location:	Unlocked at rank 16

Incinerate! Edit

	Effect:	Ignites enemies and objects in a continuous flame. Can be charged
	Location:	Unlocked by default

Insect Swarm Edit

	Effect:	Spawns a swarm of hornets that continuously attack and blind enemies.
	Location:	Unlocked at rank 20

Telekinesis Edit

	Effect:	Pulls the targeted object towards the user and allows it to be thrown
	Location:	Unlocked at rank 12

Winter Blast Edit

	Effect:	Temporarily slows the target, allowing them to be shattered
	Location:	Unlocked by default
